WE GET THIS QUESTION A LOT! Here’s a rundown on how, why and when your dollars will go to work: Auction proceeds can be classified into two groups benefitting three beneficiaries.
- FUND-A-WISH is a 30 minute “drive” on event night where all $$ serve ONE special project. This year – we hope to contribute to a commissioned art piece for the Goizueta Center for Immersive Experience and Design. Newly opened and extraordinary, a bit of artistic impression will have the space feel "at home" on campus.
- AUCTION PROCEEDS: These are the monies raised in the Auction itself – generated by donated items and sponsorship fees, less expenses.
- 90% is divided equally across Booster Club, Marist Arts Guild & Marist Parents Club. With this money, almost instantly - these parent driven initiatives are able to pay for equipment, uniforms, materials, supplies and MORE. From funding milestone events like Project Graduation to ensuring we have working vehicles for academic and sports competition transport, to wardrobing our thespians and vocalists – our kids are our biggest and most immediate beneficiaries.
- 10% goes to the Marist Endowment. To help ensure the long-term financial health of Marist School and preserve the student experience, a portion of the proceeds will go to Marist’s endowment.
Thanks for asking! Now you see why we parents are so passionate about the success of the 2021 Auction. Hopefully that inspires you to participate. Bidding opens on Monday 2.22.21 … feel free to register by clicking HERE.
